Resolving Conflict with Others

This online program is open to all employees who experience conflict with colleagues and superiors, and who want to become more skilled with conflict resolution and conflict coping methods.

Conflict with others in the workplace is inevitable. As long as two or more people have differences in values, attitudes, beliefs and opinions, there is going to be some level of conflict. Some people have modeled their conflict resolution style after others they felt were effective, and others have developed their methods through the school of hard knocks. This program will focus on identifying and applying key steps to deal with
interpersonal conflict effectively.

 
Key Topic Areas
·   Identifying principal causes of interpersonal conflict in the workplace.
·   Reviewing current strategies that yield a high probability of success when dealing with interpersonal conflict situations.
·   Assessing our strengths and  limitations using the various strategies for dealing with interpersonal conflict.
·   Practicing steps to confront areas of conflict we encounter.
·   Developing a framework to address the conflict situations in the workplace.
