Coping with Difficult People

This program is for management and non-management staff who want to learn strategies for identifying and coping with difficult people in the workplace.

This fast-paced, highly interactive program with video examples is about how to survive and even be successful with Big Difficult People (DP'S) you have to deal with in the workplace. The program goal is NOT to change the difficult person's personality, rather, the goal is to provide methods that leave you in control of the situation rather

than being controlled by it.
Key Topic Areas
·   Distinguishing DP's who are frequently difficult, from those dp's who are occasionally difficult.
·   Coping versus accepting versus changing the difficult person.
·   Approaching people who are behaviorally blind about how their actions affect others.
·   The negative interaction Cycle. Confronting another person with whom you are in conflict.
·   Learning six basic steps for coping  with any difficult person.
·   Using specific coping strategies for different DP behavior patterns: Hostile Aggressives - Chronic Complainers - Know it all's - Indecisives - Super Agreeables.
·   Maintaining composure when dealing with a difficult person.
